Audience theories

Cultivation theory examines the long term effects of television and from this theory we can understand that the more time people spend 'living' in the television world, the more likely they are to believe that the social reality portrayed in television is true to real life.

Hopefully, from our film, we want the audience to understand that in society, people are not always as they are viewed on first perception but we also do not want the audience to engage with our clip to the extent that they think that all couples are psycho killers.
